SHOLTO DESIGN STUDIO

Sholto Scruton established Sholto Design Studio in 2011. Since then, the studio has created bespoke furniture and exhibits for universities, museums, galleries, embassies, and other cultural institutions. We work closely with directors, curators, architects, landscape architects and interior designers, to create enduring furniture, exhibits and installations. The studio limits any negative social and environmental impact through ethically responsible choices.

“He’s exactly the type of person we want to work with. You can be sure that everything about his product is quite natural, in the wood he selects and the finishes he uses. There’s no harmful chemicals, there’s not going to be any off-gassing or anything like that. He’s just a really great guy to work with.”

Adam Bellas, SwitzerCultCreative

“Sholto Scruton is an impressive one-man operation. Working with architects, designers, and individuals, he crafts custom furniture for a discerning clientele.”

Kimberly Budziak, Monte Cristo Magazine

“I’ve worked with Sholto on a variety of different projects. His work is amazing. We highly recommend Sholto, not just for his design skills, but his level of technical resolve as well.”

Bryce Gauthier, Enns Gauthier Landscape Architects

“He’s got a great eye for ensuring designs are actually feasible to be manufactured but most importantly he’s just very open and honest.”

Jackson Cunningham, Tuft and Paw

“Scruton’s pieces have a resolve that is in perfect harmony with the past and the present. They function quietly and, on close inspection, one sees the attention to detail and understanding of structure that is what makes these pieces beautiful.”
